Nalini Keshava's Journey- 2. The Photo Shoot

Our next event was the photo shoot .We all had to wear a black gown and I did not have any in that color. There was not enough time for me to go buy one, so I borrowed it from a friend. It was so beautiful. For the first time in my life I realized I fit into a size 0 dress. I couldn't believe myself.

We then went to Henal's place, our experienced hairstylist to have our hair made. She has a little kid who looks exactly like a doll. I reached Henal's at 9.15 AM and the little one peeked at us with her cute smile, hiding behind her mother who invited us to her beautiful home. She made my day. It was so much fun splashing water on the kid’s face and making her giggle. She enjoyed it so much, she did not let me go for our entire stay.

You can watch her video HERE

Finally when our hair was made, she insisted that her hair be done too. It was such a pleasure to watch a little kid so conscious about her looks. We had to head to Kiran's place but bidding adieu to her was so painful. She was running behind me and talking to me in her sweet language which nobody could understand. I planted a big kiss and headed to Kiran's place, our Magical photographer.

We reached Kiran’s pretty soon and started our photo shoot. Our stylists were Kalyani Dosapati and Sachinmay Menon. They helped us to look even more glamorous. I love posing for pictures. I can recall many instances where my hubby would feel exhausted after taking 100 pictures and I am still not satisfied. Though I was not going to have the liberty to choose the picture I look best in, the experience was awesome. One person was holding a fan, another a silver cardboard and a few others helping with my hair. The photo shoot was so professional and we all had our share of fun. Next was photo shoot in traditional attire. Menka was kind enough to let us wear her latest collection.

These were all practice sessions for the big day that was coming up pretty soon. As we were coming close to THE day, tension was piling up for all of us .We had to get ready with our dresses for traditional and gown round. I had few options for traditional wear but had none for gown round. For the main event, I wanted to buy a dress that would make me look really beautiful. It was like prom dress shopping. My graduation was in India and we never have prom party in India. This was the opportunity for me to buy a gown that would make me look really beautiful.
